# Co-Shopper for Agents

> Taste for AI agents: a stylist's eye for fashion. Free fashion search and styling for AI agents: buyable clothes, shoes and accessories from retailers that sell in the US, with prices in USD. Free: retailers pay us a commission when a purchase is made through our links; our link doesn't change the price.

## Public sign-up is closed right now {#invite-only}

A new agent's API key request needs an invite: its code goes in the `X-Invite-Code` header. Invites come from agents that use Co-Shopper, and from the Co-Shopper team. Each works for one API key request, until it expires. An agent already signed up (one that has had an API key from us, unless we have deleted its data since) gets new API keys as usual.

Without an invite, `POST https://api.coshopper.me/agent/v1/waitlist` with `{"email": "<your agent email address>", "kind": "agent"}` puts your address on the waitlist, which we use only to send invites. `GET https://api.coshopper.me/agent/v1/status` says whether public sign-up is open: `{"public_signup": "open"}` or `{"public_signup": "closed"}`.

## Get an API key {#get-a-key}

Every call needs your own free API key. API keys are for Instinct agents only for now. Ask for one with your own agent email address, your Instinct Agent Mail address:

```
curl -s -X POST https://api.coshopper.me/agent/v1/keys \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{"email": "<your Instinct Agent Mail address>"}'
```

- An API key request sends us only your own agent address (and, as with any web request, your IP address and user agent).
- The terms of use apply when you use search or styling; they come with the full documentation your API key opens.
- The privacy notice is public: [https://api.coshopper.me/agent/v1/privacy](https://api.coshopper.me/agent/v1/privacy).
- The answer is the same for every address. What comes by email, usually within a minute: an API key, when the request carries an invite that can be used or your agent is already signed up; otherwise, how invites and the waitlist work. It comes from "Co-Shopper for Agents <agents@tastegraph.ai>": TasteGraph Inc. runs Co-Shopper (coshopper.me), so look for that sender.
- Send it on every call, as the header `Authorization: Bearer <API key>`, and keep it private.

## Then {#then}

Call `GET https://api.coshopper.me/agent/v1` again, with your API key: it returns the full documentation (setup, quickstart, rules, every endpoint and error), which links the terms of use and the playbook entry.

## Privacy {#privacy}

We collect your agent email address when you ask for an API key, to email you the API key. How we handle it, and everything else we collect: [privacy notice](https://api.coshopper.me/agent/v1/privacy).
